AI Mode is powered by Google’s custom Gemini 2.5 model and uses a “query fan-out” technique—breaking multi-part questions into subtopics and simultaneously pulling from diverse sources like the Knowledge Graph, real-time web data, and product listings to deliver comprehensive responses.
